EDIT: Quick appeal to the other commenters here, forget the politics. Remember why Bitcoin was created: Money is too important to be so easily controlled by people. Maybe you think the people today are “on your side” but that means tomorrow could bring the opposite.

Bitcoin doesn’t need approval from anyone. Beware of anyone grand standing as if they’re defending it. If Bitcoin needed them to succeed it has already failed.
